Caledonia Marcellus
Weave Description Another variation on a Byzantine weave. Double ended Byzantine started on a large ring, with the edge rings slipped to the sides and connected with two new rings, then those new rings are flipped to their respective centres and attached with a single new ring. Units are connected by the single rings. Direct unit to unit attachment allows only one side to show, single ring to single ring attachment allows both 'sides' of the units to show. Sample rings used : 1.2mm 6.5mm, 0.8mm 4.5mm and 0.8mm 3.25 steel rings and and 1.0mm 4.5mm copper rings.
