Mayday

Weave Description
Mayday is based on Onering. Here rings are added to the base chain at one side, that 'half-orbit' the base chain's small rings, resulting in an asymmetric chain. But it behaves really well, if used e.g. as bracelet, as it tends to orient itself with the addons at the outside - given the right (larger) ring choice principally these addons could also be interwoven at both sides of the basis chain, to produce a symmetric chain.

The sample chain is shown in a top- sideways- and bottom-view. It is made from 1.6mm BA wire, coiled on 11/64" mandrel (AR of 2.85), and 1.6*9.0mm (final AR of 6.0).
