DescriptionA bottom view of my forty-eighth chainmail basket. It's a two-tiered design of 96 rings-per-row European 8 in 1 sections, the bottom of which is constructed of rings of .062" (1.6mm) wire; the top containing .078" (2.0mm).The rings in the bottom section were wound on an 11/32" (8.73mm) mandrel, and have an AR of 6.1, and those in the top section alternate row-by-row between 13/32" (10.3mm) and 27/64" (10.7mm), and have an effective AR of 5.9. 2252 rings of 27 different types comprise this 1.2lb (555g), 7” (17.8cm) diameter, 3" (7.6cm) tall structure. This view displays the detail of the basket bottom, which contains Japanese 12 in 2 at its nexus.
