DescriptionI made this as a final project for a sculpture class. I originally wanted it to be all found hardware - no standard maille rings, but time ran short and I ended up just tossing a lot of it together. I wanted to make the tail longer but did not have time - I may lengthen it someday. The head is variations of Jap-Cube and is made out of some round roller bearing sort of things that came out of a bicycle chain and 16ga 1/4" ID stainless rings. The tongue is a 2-2 chain with a split to make it forked, made out of small lock washers. The collar is made of brass hexnuts and 16ga 1/4" ID brass rings. All of the washer maille is Japanese 4-1 assembled with lock washers. Most of the washers and lock washers were galvanized before the zinc was stripped off in Muriatic Acid. More information and stats are included with other photos.Weave(s) Used (Click to View Weave)2 in 1 Chain, Japanese 4 in 1 CubeImages Tags (Click to Search Gallery)Tag(s): Accessories, Brass, NSR, Sculpture, Stainless Steel, WasherWeave(s): 2 in 1 Chain, Japanese 4 in 1 Cube |
