I see we've accepted another CG weave submission.
I have to tell you folks, I don't like it, and I think we need a policy prohibiting it. This latest weave pic somehow manages to combine being CG and *still* nearly impossible to suss out from the pic. I really think it's unwise to be publicizing weaves that may not even be weavable in real life.

| I don't know who accepted that, but it wasn't me. Remember last time when I said a weave somehow just slipped by my approval? It was BornFatal then too. Same thing here. I just logged on and saw a weave. I totally agree with you, Blaise, and if I had seen it, I would have denied it, but I was never given the chance. I think you need to investigate how his submissions are going right past the admins. |

Well.
As I have stated.
If CGI is accompanied by Real Life then its ok. (assuming we have the second page we get to when we click on a weave.)
But the Real One Should Be Displayed.
So I vote no CGI subs until we first have a real life picture.
Does that mean I should be voting NO or YES?

I messed up my vote on the wording too. One No can be turned into a Yes.

Over in the thread where we were talking about redesigning the weaves pages I thought we had reached agreement that the first pix was required to be metal (or pvc or some other "real world" material) to prove that it could actually be made. Then - and only then - would CGI be accepted as secondary illustrations.
So my vote is "Yes" - no more CGI in weaves until we have the revised page, and even then only if there are photograph(s) of it 'made real.'

Sorry I wasn't able to vote sooner. I just got back from Texas.
I voted 'yes' for the reasons that HerrBGone stated.
