I looked through the spiral weaves. I could swear I've seen it, but I can't find it.
It is the product of a failed attempt at JPL5, because I was paying more attention to my son. But I like it anyway.
.035" (.9mm) stainless. Actual ID ~4.5mm.

That's a JPL5 Spiral - not a database, but known weave.
It simply happens sometimes, even to me. But it can be really attractive, and some of my JPL5 Spiral 'accidents' are then finished as bracelets, necklaces, fey fobs or so. But joining two segments of this variant seamless, is really difficult - I falter more often than succeed. And the only difference of yours to mine is the twist direction, as I'm used to weave normal JPL5 also 'mirrored' to the tutorial's direction.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

Thanks ZiLi
I like it too. I know exactly what I did to make it not JPL5, so I will definitely make this again in the future. I also find it attractive. |

Oh I also know what 'mistake' has to happen, to start it - but sometimes it happens even if not intended.
