Hey Folks,
Just a quick "Yes, I was mucking with things" post...
I'm stuck at work babysitting a 10 hour theatre rental... And aside from playing Word by Post with Tarazed and Phong, I've run out of things to do...
SO...
I started mucking with things
I've fixed a few formatting issues that have bugged me (and been brought up several times in the interim) for awhile... And hopefully made the forums a little easier to read, slightly more compact, and with things laid out where they feel like they belong.
There's more changes coming, hold onto your pants!

Looks very snazzy.
Do the tweaks include the bug where logging in from the front page, and then navigating to the tabs for Community - Forum - New Posts makes you have to log in again?

Well I find the letter icon, and the arrow-down pulldown menu a bit redundant, as there the 'send pm' is also contained. So it would in my opinion make more sense, to omit not only the letter icon, bot even both icons, and make the user name and/or icon mouseover-sensitive to pop up the pulldown menu.
And I must admit that I miss the 'metal' colored triplets, just after having acquired the all-gold-four-triplet one. If these vanish, displaying the user status 'Ringlet' to 'Grand exalted Blabbermouth' doesn't make sense as well, imo...
Else: I like the rounded-corner design.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

I never really paid any attention to the ring thingy... but that may just be me. I'm LOVING the changes so far. I love that the posts in each thread are clearly defined ad to where they start and where they end. And I love love love the rounded corners!

I used to like watching the rings as well, but after a while I stopped watching it.
I am having a problem reading the posts on Firefox 3.6.28 after the initial post they have no border and the information to the left is all centered above the post on a black background. I realize that I need to update, but don't really like the parts of the update. Tried clearing the cache but that didn't do anything. When I PM'd you over the new changes a couple of days ago it wasn't like that. Any thoughts?... besides that I am a trouble maker and always have to be difficult.

It's very bad to take rings away from a chainmailler.

Thank everyone I will take the step and update to 11. Hopefully it works a lot better than the 7 that is on my work computer. I will give you an update when I get home.

Damn nerds, always forcing me to update.
Looks good on Chrome, though.
Only one word can make me angry, and trust me dear, you can't pronounce it. |
