Hey everyone, I want to show you what I just finished after 5 months of rather persistent work. I am only going to post one really large picture of it here, but there are more in my Blog posting: http://thomasriley.info/chainmail/?p=180

Holy Smokes!
I'm speechless.
Also, the hand story is familiar, but I always assumed it to have something to do with Antwerp (=Hand Werpen). Where ever the truth lies, I think you deserve that hand, since bleeding and disembodied has to be the way your hands feel after so many rings.

This is so cool.

What are the stats on the piece?

I am doing a small 7 in inlay, but a 7.5 foot!

Epic doesn't even begin...

I'm speechless, that is incredibly awesome! I really liked that you supplied the backstory to the heraldry too, quite interesting.

ThomasTyndan: Is it possible to resize the image in opening post to maybe 600x900 or 533x800 pixels, and make it a clickable link to open the large image? So the whole 'tapestry' can be seen without need to scroll, but the large one seen on demand as well.
It's bbcoded as:
Code:
[url=largeimage][img]smallimage[/img][/url]

A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

Holy heraldry, Batman!

How much time a day did you spend working on that? I can't imagine getting something like that done in just 5 months. Hats off to you, good sir!

Between 4 to 6 hours a day, on an average day. some days more, some days not at all. It did come close to working a second job.

Much better, yes? And: Praise for that masterpiece of inlay and its maker.
