First, I need to know who is interested. If you are interested please provide me the following information in a PM as well as a heads up in this thread. If you sign up for more than one partner I will try to make sure you also have more than one person as your partner. If you can sign up as a backup and need to be used at short notice we will do our best to acknowledge your efforts in some way.
Second, the only way this is successful is by following through with your commitment and communication. So if you fun into troubles let us know as soon as possible so people don't get left out in the cold.

Human societies are like chain mail.
A single link will be worth nothing.
A chain is of use, but will break at the weakest link.
A weak weave will have the need to replace weak links.
A strong weave will survive even with weak links included.

I have heard from a good number of you all ready which is great! While people can sign up for this club at any time of the year I will give people about a week before I start assigning people so we can get the Feb birthday people in. So far nobody from Jan has signed up, but are more than welcome.
Just some reminders of guidelines from previous years that Alcolmene reminded me about.
What I need from you:
1. Please communicate. Communicate if you can no longer participate, address changes, when you send a package, when you receive a package... All of these things are a given, but are sometimes forgotten and have caused headaches in the past.
2. Please be responsible. I hate to be a hardnose, but some people have gotten kicked out of previous things like this and while I will give second chances, when communicated to, I am a teacher by trade so have my limits.
3. Make sure to send me a PM when you have sent your gift. I will than inform the person receiving the gift that it is on its way.
What you can expect from me:
1. I will get your partner(s) and information to you as soon as possible.
2. I will do my best to answer any questions/concerns as quickly as possible.
3. I (or one of the backups) will send out an PM a couple weeks in advance reminding you about your birthday commitment.
4. I (or one of the backups) will send out an PM saying that your package is on its way.
*as everybody runs away in fear wondering what they have done in electing this crazy as coordinator*
Remember we want to make this fun for everybody. So be creative, try something new and have fun.

| Yeah! Neither is... What am I going on now... 5 years? Ugh, I keep forgetting that I'm turning 18 this year. It's not fair, I want to stay a kid! But yeah, even after 5 years, I'm still a newb. =] |

Here as well - despite being an old hand at many crafts, maille-wise I'm a newbie if only experience time is counted; after less than three. According to some other indicators (total ring count, already made, mastered, or even discovered and published weaves) I'm not more.
So don't worry. Everybody here was once a beginner, and needed to collect experience to leave that state - some few ones have forgot about, and need to be reminded from time to time. And last but not least: Taking part at such exchange clubs helps to gain that experience.
