would anyone be willing to do a trade of chain for chain?
equal chains for equal chains...
necklace, choker, bracelet, patches, etc... small things
I know this site offers everything from the novice to the incredible expert... I'm sure there could be some kind of want for such a trade
im sure the novices could learn from having a traded patch from the masters as well I'm sure the masters could be reminded of their beginnings as maillers from a patch of those under their skill level
of course this is going to take a bit of trust from both sides, but I'm sure we are all mature enough to adhere to some basic code of honor...
any takers?

| I also would be interested in this exchange. I'm a new mailler (only been doing this for a few months), but I feel that I'm developing a fairly decent technique. What I'd really enjoy, though, would be critique and constructive criticism from someone who really knows what they're doing. |

I might be interested in something like that. It would be nice to get patches of weaves that I've not been able to figure out. I think we should send a note with each patch, chain, etc that describes the gauges and ID's used in each piece. I think it would be really helpful to be able to see a piece while looking at tutorials when I try to make something new.
maybe we could set up something where we each say what kind of chain/patch/etc. we would like to trade, then we could match up with other maillers according to what we want.
I like the critique idea as well. It's always nice to hear input from people who actually know what it's like to make this stuff! I don't know about you guys, but I dont know many people that make chainmaille off line! |

That sounds kinda fun. I know what my problems are (I think), and I want to learn some new weaves (or show off some new "bling").
Uprising!

| Now are we talking about elf weave or elf sheet? Elf weave hasn't seemed horribly difficult for me, but that could just be me. Elf sheet on the other hand, looks to be far more difficult. |

| i'm not talking sheet. I think if i can figure out the weave first, then i'll have little trouble with making a sheet. |
