Hrm... As long as I've been mucking around with the site, in order to be a BOD member at all (i.e. able to post in the BOD forum), you've had to have admin powers. Most of the admins have mod powers as well, but that's granted separately.

i thought we used to have mods that were not admins..

brucifer is the example i am thinking of, although i seem to recall others. rygar, possibly.. at least at first.. he may have since gotten admin something something. although getting rygar in here was really difficult, as i recall.

Yeah, those were technical problems. Since the modding and adminning are separately assigned, the DB problem that scragged their admin access didn't affect their mod privileges. But that was unintentional...
