| DEPRECATED ---- MAIL ISSUE POLL - Admin Forum Comments |

As has been discussed here and here
I am proposing an official membership vote on the subject of the membership being allowed to comment on Admin Discussions (which normally we can read but not comment on).
The three options will be:
1: all members should be allowed to post in admin discussion threads
2: posting in the admin discussion forum should remain reserved for BOD members only
3: create a forum specifically for BOD and membership to discuss MAIL policies, content and any other MAIL issues
This poll will determine if an official vote on this topic should be scheduled.
[admin note] This Issue Poll has been reposted in order to act in accordance with the Charter [/admin note]

I did reply yes to this, but I know that it would make BoD discussions more difficult. If there was a way that a thread could run parallel (an exact copy) in another forum where everybody could reply and in the Admin forum it would show by some indication that there was a member comment in between Admin 1 and Admin 2. This would allow the Admins to keep track of admin comments while still knowing that there were comments from the membership that should be viewed in the other thread. Membership could at least put in their 2c. if they wanted to then.
So looking at my response I guess I should have voted yes, in another forum. Oops

Good point MM, I think an exact copy forum is a really good idea actually. But those kind of details can be worked out if enough people say yes.

The only problem with my thought is that I no NOTHING of the coding that would be involved.

I'm sorry...
I've been keeping an eye on this all day...
Where did the 'Yes, but in a seperate forum' option, with 6 votes go?

Wait, scratch that.
I follow what has transpired.
This 'vote' has been turned into a 'mail issue poll' as to whether we should vote or not.
Some of us, who had already voted, are unable to vote again in this revised poll.

| Ahh I see.....so since we already picked an option in the first poll wouldn't that default us to "yes lets put this to a vote"? |

No...
Technically, any votes in the first poll constituted an 'I have an opinio and wish to vote on this...'
I'm thinking it might be better to muck this, and repost?
I'll wait for Legba to chime in, however, as the poll is hers.

Editing posts and retconning votes is a bad idea. I agree that this one should be closed and a new poll, with the proper wording be posted.

Not edited by me, Blaise edited it maybe he can sort this out. I'll PM him.
As for correct wording Phong, again according to Blasie this is correctly worded.

I don't doubt that. But people still need to vote on the question they were asked, not on the question that the poll was changed to after the fact. The poll is now how it should be, but the votes do not reflect that. I know you're a stickler for proper vote etiquette, so there shouldn't be an issue.

There isn't an issue except that I can't do anything about it myself, I have PMed Blaise.
