| Picture threads...where should they go? |

There's a little something that has been bothering me for a while, but instances of it have been few and far between until the last week or so. I've noticed an increase in people posting pictures of their work in Knitting Circle, and I always thought those kinds of threads belonged in the Gallery forum. I know that people might want to post things in KC as opposed to Gallery because it will get more views, but I'd also like to see all the rooms being used for their intended purpose. Does this bug anyone else? Am I totally off base here?
Frankly, if I had permissions to move things in KC I would just move the threads as they came up, but I don't have the ability to do that in that room. |

Yeps. Gallery threads belong in the gallery. Knitting circle can have pictures in them, as long as it's about discussing somethings to do with making stuff, not just showing off an item. They should be moved. Else it's a self-fulfilling prophesy, Gallery gets no attention because Gallery gets no attention.
As for moving, bug Blaise for more privileges. I had the same problem for a while, would see stuff but couldn't move it, would move stuff by accident but then couldn't move it back.
If we want to restrict general mod duties to various areas, that's cool, but, power should be universal, in case we need it.
I don't check all that often what forum stuff is in anymore. I don't even have MAIL bookmarked. My bookmark takes me straight to "View New Posts Since Last Visit." Else, I'd move 'em too. |

Would I be right in thinking that if it's a question relating to a pic it does belong in Knitting circle (other than a weave question)?
Like the new lay out BTW

| Pretty much. Like, if it's a pic of a work in progress, and someone has a question about it, "I got this far, now what do I do here???" or something of that nature, then it's a KC thread. But, say it's "here's my new shirt, almost finished, come check it out!" that'd be Gallery. Just follow your gut instinct I'd say. |
